“Nothing Like the Sun” accepted to the New England Watercolor Society Associate Members Show, on view through November 4, 2026

This is a recent favorite and it’s included with a lot of beautiful work by NEWS members at the Plymouth Center for the Arts in Plymouth, MA.

Nothing Like the Sun, 2026

Inspired by my 2025 visit to France, I feel like I finally captured a bit of the light and heat of those wonderful days at Clos Mirabel in the French Pyrenees.

Autumn is a great time to visit the Watercolor Society’s dedicated space at the Center because there’s so much to see there and in historic Plymouth.

If you haven’t seen Plymouth Rock yet, New Englanders are endlessly amused by the giant monument that protects the diminutive rock.

“Windy Day at Wood Neck” now on view at the New England Watercolor Society’s Celebrating New England show at the Plymouth Center for the Arts, July 10 – September 2, 2026

Windy Day at Wood Neck

The New England Watercolor Society’s summer show is all about all things New England, so I’m especially pleased to be showing this painting of Wood Neck Beach in Falmouth, Massachusetts.

The Plymouth Center for the Arts has gallery devoted to the watercolor society and is a lovely place to visit anytime, but particularly now as we celebrate this historic 250th year of American Independence – and the weather is sublime.

The exhibit runs through September 2, 2026.

The Center is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10am – 4pm and Sundays 1pm – 4pm.

The Plymouth Center for the Arts has gallery space specifically designated for Watercolor Society works.
