Part of my Summer Shadows Series, this 12 x 27″ watercolor is one of the largest I’ve done, and I’m so glad to have this chance to show it.
This was such a validating experience. I’ve been doing art like this for so long and this is a moment where my new skills and my old inspirations came together.
The Juror was Bill Lane, a watercolorist whose work I admire. He has certainly mastered the art of the bloom in watercolor painting.
The show is up at the society until May 24, 2024. It’s located in a lovely spot in Pawtucket, with a charming carousel across the street.
