These kinds of illustrations are something I’ve done all my life – I’ve come full circle. Heavily influenced by illustrators like Hilary Knight and Maurice Sendak, they also bring in my love of type from my beloved teachers at Rosati-Kain High school who introduced us to the brilliance of Corita Kent and Milton Glaser. More recently I’ve immersed myself in the work of Christophe Neiman, Wayne Thibault and David Hockney, masters of line and color.
