Originally from the midwest, I’m an award-winning artist who now lives and works in New England. I’m inspired by the artists in my family, by nature and by the shapes and colors that take me back to my roots.
Watercolor brings its own sensibilities to my work because it has a mind of it’s own – it’s a collaborative process – it mixes and moves when I’m not looking, revealing itself in ways unexpected and delightful. As time goes on, I find myself incorporating gouache and ink and my subjects migrate more freely between nature, architecture and abstraction – I welcome that journey.
