Part of my Summer Shadows Series, this 12 x 27″ watercolor is one of the largest I’ve done, and I’m so glad to have this chance to show it.

June 1 – July 12, 2024 at the Rhode Island Watercolor Society.
Part of my Summer Shadows Series, this 12 x 27″ watercolor is one of the largest I’ve done, and I’m so glad to have this chance to show it.

Spring Rising is a small work in watercolor, measuring about 12×12 inches, framed.
Cape Cod has a vibrant arts community, due in large part to the Arts Foundation’s terrific work supporting and showcasing artists. The summer Gala and Online Auction raises money that funds grants to support local artists.
The Gala + Auction is on June 6, but you can pre-register now. The catalog is not up yet, but I will post again when it’s viewable.

This was such a validating experience. I’ve been doing art like this for so long and this is a moment where my new skills and my old inspirations came together.
The Juror was Bill Lane, a watercolorist whose work I admire. He has certainly mastered the art of the bloom in watercolor painting.
The show is up at the society until May 24, 2024. It’s located in a lovely spot in Pawtucket, with a charming carousel across the street.
